Worth School

As he reflects on a string of fencing successes, former Worth student Jacopo Tancredi Bianchi is grateful to the School for encouraging his love for the sport.

Jacopo was in Rutherford House, graduating in 2019. He fenced regularly while at Worth and was awarded Full Colours by the School in his final year.

Now in his third year at Queen Mary University of London, Jacopo has continued to fence and has been vice-president of QMBL Fencing Club for the last two years. This year QMBL have won the BUCS League, going through their campaign undefeated, and also won the BUCS South Eastern Conference Cup, for which they were presented with gold medals. They also won Queen Mary’s Team of the Year award, have been presented with Half Colours and Jacopo has been awarded Club Honours for his work as vice-president.

Congratulations Jacopo.

Are you interested in fencing? Perhaps you have fenced before or maybe you would like to try it for the first time. Fencing is offered at Worth as a Sports option and through our extensive co-curricular programme.
