Congratulations to Year 9 pupil Felix Green who made his debut in goal for our 1st XI boys’ hockey team last week.
This is a significant achievement, considering his age, and reflects the pathway we offer at Worth for talented young sportsmen and women.
Felix was chosen after the regular 1st XI goalkeeper suffered an injury and he performed superbly, making a number of excellent saves in a fixture at home to Ardingly.
Here are some pictures from the game taken by Matthew Laird and Rosi Green.
Hockey at Worth is led by double Olympian Mr Calum Giles and since the start of the academic year we have been offering specialist goalkeeper coaching thanks to experienced goalkeeper and coach Mr Thomas Brocklehurst, who is a Graduate Sports Assistant at Worth.
